Don’t miss the Virginia Government Communicators Spring Workshop, scheduled for April 17 at the Fairfax County Government Center. Speakers will include the Communications Director for Senator Jim Webb, a panel of broadcast journalists, and a George Mason University dean talking about targeting marketing to specific and changing populations.

In addition to networking with PIOs from around the state, you will have an opportunity to pick up communication ideas at the “Idea Exchange” during the lunch break.

The Idea Exchange is new at this conference, and VGC is encouraging PIOs to bring copies of newsletters, brochures, or calendars, etc., to share during the lunch break. Tables will be set up for attendees to display their best communication tools, and everyone will have an opportunity to pick up new ideas. (Please bring 60 copies.) If you plan to participate in the Idea Exchange, contact Barbara Gordon, 703.642.4635 to assure there is adequate table space.
